Meet Kung Hsing at Chinaplas 2026 | Multi-Layer Blown Film Solutions - Booth 1.1F54

Kung Hsing Plastics Machinery has been a trusted partner to film and packaging manufacturers around the world.

Kung Hsing's Seven layer co-extrusion blown film line

With more than 50 years of extrusion expertise, Kung Hsing Plastics Machinery has been a trusted partner to film and packaging manufacturers around the world. By combining decades of engineering experience with continuous innovation, the company delivers reliable blown film solutions that help producers achieve stable production, high product quality, and long-term operational efficiency.

At Chinaplas 2026, we warmly invite industry professionals to visit Booth 1.1F54 and learn more about our latest developments in multi-layer co-extrusion blown film technology. Our team will be available to introduce solutions designed to help manufacturers improve productivity, enhance film quality, and reduce energy consumption.

Kung Hsing offers a comprehensive portfolio of 3- to 9-layer co-extrusion blown film lines, supporting a wide range of applications including flexible packaging and high-performance functional films.

High Efficiency and Stable Production

Our high-speed 5-layer blown film line sets a new benchmark in production efficiency. Featuring a 300 mm die, the system can deliver output of up to 600 kg/h, nearly double that of many comparable systems. Energy consumption can be reduced to as low as 0.37 kWh/kg, significantly below the industry average of 0.5 kWh/kg, helping manufacturers lower operating costs while improving line efficiency.

The system also integrates advanced features such as quick material change die design, high and consistent extrusion throughput, profile control, helping minimize material waste while maintaining consistent film thickness and product quality.

Responding to New Packaging Trends

Today’s flexible packaging industry is undergoing significant transformation. Growing demand for sustainable packaging, downgauging, and higher barrier performance is pushing film producers to adopt more advanced multi-layer structures.

Brand owners are increasingly seeking packaging solutions that use less material while maintaining strength and functionality, while regulatory pressure and environmental concerns are accelerating the transition toward recyclable mono-material film structures. At the same time, converters must ensure that production lines remain highly efficient and capable of delivering consistent film quality.

These evolving market requirements are driving the adoption of multi-layer co-extrusion technologies, which allow manufacturers to precisely distribute material properties across different layers. By optimizing layer structures, producers can reduce overall film thickness, improve barrier performance, and maintain mechanical strength—achieving both performance and sustainability goals.

Advanced Capability with 7-Layer Blown Film Technology

Another highlight in KS’s technology portfolio is the 7-layer blown film line KS-ML-7-55, first introduced at K 2025.

Equipped with seven 55 mm “eXtreme” extruders, each with a capacity of 150 kg/h, the line can achieve a total output of up to 1,050 kg/h, providing manufacturers with the productivity required for large-scale film production.

More importantly, the 7-layer structure offers significantly greater flexibility in material formulation and film design. This enables producers to create advanced film structures that combine different functional layers for barrier performance, strength, sealability, and cost optimization.

Combined with KS’s proprietary Spiral Mandrel Die and closed-loop thickness control system, the solution maintains film thickness tolerance within ±2.5% (2 Sigma), ensuring excellent film uniformity and long-term process stability.

Such precision is essential for modern film production, where consistent thickness distribution directly affects film performance, material usage, and downstream converting efficiency.
