TaipeiPLAS Digital Week Kicks off on September 21st

Originally scheduled to be held in September 2020, the Taipei International Plastics & Rubber Industry Show (TaipeiPLAS) and Taipei International Shoe Making Technology Show (ShoeTech Taipei) will be postponed to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In response, the organizers, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), decide to launch since September 21, 2020 the one-week TaipeiPLAS Digital Week. With these series of online and offline activities, organizers aim to break social distance restrictions, strive for uninterrupted business opportunities, and improve the visibility of the exhibitions.

TaipeiPLAS Digital Week consists of Online CEO Panel, Online Talks, PLASpotlight, and TTS Match and will cover the market trend, innovative technology and products. The first program to appear on the morning of September 21 will be the live broadcast of the Online CEO Panel, which will be hosted by Walter M. S. Yeh, President & CEO of TAITRA. Professionals invited to speak on this webinar will be experts from representative manufacturers in the plastics and rubber industry. Held in the afternoon will be Online Talks, an interview program with exhibitors taking part in either TaipeiPLAS or ShoeTech Taipei. Starting from September 22, selected videos featuring new products of companies will be broadcast at 3 pm Taiwan time at the PLASpotlight for six consecutive days. To watch those wonderful programs, please stay tuned with TTS D’CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/taiwantradeshows.

In order to ensure that exhibitors' business opportunities continue to line up and expand their sales in the international market, the finale of Digital Week on September 29 is the TTS Match for TaipeiPLAS and ShoeTech, to which TAITRA has integrated digital resources at home and abroad and mobilized its overseas branches to invite buyers from 14 countries to join the meetings. The products and services that buyers are interested in purchasing include plastic and rubber machinery, injection molding machinery, molds & dies, Raw Materials, Semi-Finished & Finished Products, and so on.

In the extraordinary moment when the pandemic has not yet been eased, TAITRA has continuously launched various integrated online services to create a new normal for exhibitions. For example, the Machinery Exhibitions Online, Taiwan (www.machineryshow.tw) is established in such a way that buyers can directly link to the product list on the official website, search and browse products immediately. Meanwhile, this online trade show also improves the visibility of exhibitors' products.
