After a 6-year absence, CHINAPLAS, the world‘s leading plastics and rubber trade fair, is ready to make a strong comeback to Shanghai on April 23-26, 2024, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Hongqiao, Shanghai, PR China. To mark this special occasion, CHINAPLAS - Ready to Roll at Shanghai Kick-off Gala was held in Shanghai on March 28. More than 160 industry representatives attended the event in person and over 10,000 industry players participated online to witness the thrilling moment, sailing through high winds toward a brighter future together.

NPE2024 in Orlando is approaching fast after 6 years of waiting, and preparations are in full swing. FIMIC is returning for the third time to NPE with an array of exciting updates, since 2018 FIMIC has developed technologies offering a wide range of automatic melt filters and has integrated into their product portfolio a screw pump called SPA, available in three different sizes to easily transport the plastic melt without using gears that can be positioned before or after the filter. At NPE2024, FIMIC will display its flagship melt filter, RAS 700 model, showing plastics industry insiders and all other visitors how its technology can be adapted to the application requirements and is designed precisely for filtration processes.

Plastic waste recycling has long been a symbol of green sustainability. With the rapid advancement of recycling technologies, applications have become increasingly diverse and abundant.  The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2030, the global circular economy will reach $4.5 trillion. Internationally, there are new applications emerging, such as environmentally friendly building materials made from PET bottle bricks and eyeglass materials made from discarded fishing nets. Coca-Cola Taiwan has also invested significant research and development efforts, spending seven years to develop products using 100% recycled plastic bottles, setting a new milestone in plastic recycling applications.

Guangzhou, 29 February 2024. Next week, Guangzhou Industrial Technology and Asiamold Select – Guangzhou will open their doors at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. From 4 – 6 March, these co-located exhibitions will transform 20,000 sqm of floor space into a centralised sourcing and exchange hub for the region's manufacturing sector. Visiting industry professionals will have the chance to connect with 336 exhibiting companies and explore the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies, moulding technologies, 3D printing and more. In addition, the two events will host a series of concurrent forums and seminars, providing opportunities for cross-sector dialogue and delivering insights into emerging manufacturing trends.

First launched in 2016, the show was originally named the Asia (Guangzhou) Battery Sourcing Fair (GBE ASIA) and has so far made 8 successful stagings in a row. Today, widely known as the World Battery & Energy Storage Industry Expo (WBE), it has become one of the biggest and most valued expo events of its kind on Chinese soil. Moreover, it has the biggest turnout of battery (cells and packs) and energy storage exhibitors in China, as well as the highest attendance of overseas buyers.

"Green materials" are the key focus of all development. According to the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, there is a clear academic definition of green materials: "Materials that have the least impact on the Earth's environment and are harmless to human health in terms of raw material extraction, product manufacturing, application processes, and recycling after use."
