展览概况

This is the third time that PRM-Taiwan has attended Plastindia and what an experience it was. With daily visitors reaching over 50,000, it was truly a record breaking fair show.

【Plastindia University】
The Plastics industry in India has been at the forefront of GDP growth for the whole of India, with double digit growth in 2017. The Plastindia Foundation also are getting closer to opening a new university, dedicated to cultivating talent for the future growth of the plastics industry in India. Recently, as with the rest of the world, India has also begun to focus its efforts to the research and development of decomposable plastic products. With the support of the government and a young, skilled workforce. The Plastindia Foundation university plans to help increase the overall economy of India!

【Make In India】
In 2015, Prime Minister Modi put forward the “Make In India”, plan which was also mentioned in the opening ceremony of Plastindia. Under the pressure of strong competition from China, India is eager to attract foreign investors to set up factories in the country, not just to outsource their production to already established companies. In response to this local import tariffs were raised so that if foreign companies want to establish themselves in the large and growing Indian market, they need to have an established presence that gives local workers opportunities for work, and to keep currency and knowledge within the country. This is having an effect with various companies setting up factories or already have plans in the works for the near future.

【What we did at the show】
This time we interviewed the organiser, various agents and companies from Taiwan that operate themselves in India. These interviews will give you an insight into the Indian market and Plastindia 2018!
